Belgium supports Republic of Moldova's reform agenda
Proprieties of Republic of Moldova's European agenda, as well as the possible support of Belgium in promoting structural reforms were discussed during a meeting of Secretary of State for European Integration, Daniela Morari and Belgian Ambassador to Romania and Moldova, Thomas Baekelandt, who is visiting Chisinau.
During the discussions, Daniela Morari informed the officials of the results following the 4th Moldova-EU Association Council meeting, priorities of strengthening Moldova-EU cooperation, as well as efforts made by authorities to implement the Association Agreement.
The Moldovan official also accentuated the potential of strengthening cooperation within the Eastern Partnership, the necessity to develop the civil society's capabilities in supporting the transformation of Republic of Moldova. The possibility to take over Belgium's experience in supporting the European integration process was also discussed.
In his turn, Ambassador Thomas Baekelandt greeted the progresses made in Republic of Moldova, expressing Belgium's availability to continue supporting Moldova in its reform agenda.
