Developing bilateral relations between Republic of Moldova and Norway discussed by Ministers of Foreign Affairs
Developing bilateral relations between Republic of Moldova and Norway, as well as cooperation within international organization, including European Council, were discussed by Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, with his Norwegian counterpart, Ine Eriksen Søreide. The meeting took place within the 128th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, that unfolds at Helsingør, Denmark.
The officials spoke of the cooperation between the two countries within the European Council, in particular replacing NORLAM through the 3.4 million Euro assistance in the justice field in the implementation of the Council of Europe Action Plan for the Republic of Moldova 2017-2020.
Tudor Ulianovschi and Ine Eriksen Søreide spoke of multiple topics tied to bilateral relations, regional and European security, maintaining cooperation in fields such as education and research, environment and water sanitation technologies, as well as waste management, Norway being part of European Free Trade Association.
Minister Ulianovschi expressed his gratitude to Ine Eriksen Søreide for the support offered to Republic of Moldova, both at political level, as well as technical assistance.
