A lawyer from Cahul was arrested by NAC. The suspect is supposedly the leader of a criminal group and used frauds to gain the apartments of some citizens from Cahul.

According to the investigation, between 2013-2015, the group's members have forged multiple official documents and court decisions, based on which they gained ownership over some real estates.

The lawyer was arrested for 72 hours and is investigated for fraud and forgery.

Since the beginning of this year, NAC and anticorruption prosecutors managed to arrest four people, including a registrar of the Cahul Cadastral Territorial Office. The case will soon be sent to the Court.

For their crimes, the suspects risk to spend the next 15 years behind bars.
