Pavel Filip: It is important for students to have the chance to manifest their knowledge in a comfortable environment
During today's Government meeting, Prime Minister Pavel Filip wished the best of luck to all those who are taking the Bacalaureat exams, but also made some declarations on the searches made by NAC at ASEM.
"Today is held the first BAC exam. I wish luck to all young people who will take this year's examinations. I am sure that they will prove their knowledge. It is very important for this knowledge to be correctly evaluated.
After today's events, six teachers were arrested, because they were implicated in a corruption scheme where students bought exams and thesis. I am sure that everyone knows my opinion regarding the fight against corruption.
I have not considered that most corruption is present in educational institutions and hospitals. There are more important corruption cases that needs attention, but at the same time, corruption in education is not about the bribery, but the fact that people could care less for Republic of Moldova's future.
We have spoken, along with justice, education is another crucial field and we are well aware of it.
We can change the law, to attract more investors. For them to come here, build factories, to create jobs where citizens can work, but it is more efficient to invest in education. To offer such education to our citizen, for them to be able to build their own factories and offer work places, then Republic of Moldova will flourish.
Therefore, I could care less of the bribery and the amount of money in such cases. What is truly important is Republic of Moldova's future. Corruption is mocking those who work hard and study.
I wish the best of luck to all those taking examinations and wish to assure them that it will take place in a correct and objective manner, while all students will be appreciated based on their knowledge.
We know how complicated this period is for young people! It is important to offer them the chance to manifest their knowledge in a comfortable environment" Prime Minister of Republic of Moldova, Pavel Filip said.
