First House Project becomes more accessible. New list of people eligible to apply
The First House Program is extending the list of its beneficiaries. Now the project will also be available to people who own, as inheritance, a village house. The sole exception being suburbs of Chisinau.
At the same time, requests will also be accepted from Moldovans who own a real estate shared with other members of the family, each person having no more than six square meters.
The changes were already approved by the Government.
"The project aim to increase the number of people eligible to the First House program. People who live with their spouse and minor child, the apartments being no more than six square meters per family member" Finance Minister Octavian Armaşu declared.
The project's authors are PDM deputies.
"In practice we detected people who inherited or gained through donations a small house somewhere in the country, but are not living in Chisinau, causing them to not be eligible for the project. We wish to eliminate this issue, to increase the number of First House beneficiaries" PDM deputy, Sergiu Sîrbu said.
The First House project is meant for citizens less than 45-year-old, officially employed and that do not own other real estates or another mortgage loan.
Their salary has to be at least twice the monthly rate, while the state will offer 50% of the given loan.
The price of the house must not exceed one million lei, while the down payment is 10% of the total price.
At the same time, recently, officials also announced First House 2 program, meant for public servants.
