Romania wishes for the Ungheni-Chișinău gas pipeline to be urgently finished and seeks solutions to ease traffic at the borders between Romania and Moldova.
Those aims are found in a declarations signed at Chisinau, following a joint meeting for European Integration between the Parliament of Moldova and of Romania.
Romanian deputies claim that the project's final aim is Moldova's European integration.
"Supporting the urgent finalization of infrastructure projects regarding Moldova's interconnection to the European energy market. We are doing everything possible to identify sustainable solutions to increase efficiency in the border traffic."
The Commission's co-president representing Moldova, Gheorghe Mocanu, was confident that Moldova will only win after Romania will have the presidency over the EU Council.
"It is an extraordinary priority for us to promote the European agenda, to facilitate the implementation of reforms with Romania's support."
The Romanian delegation also spoke with President of Moldovan Parliament. Andrian Candu mentioned that Moldova's legislative could bring into force this year a chance in the Constitution to include the aim of European Integration.
This is the seventh reunion of the Joint Commission. The last meeting having taken place in Bucharest.
