Ministry of Education, Culture and Research's reaction to the mistake in Romanian Language BAC reported by a teacher
Ministry of Education, Culture and Research has came with an answer to the letter written by teacher Constantin Șchiopu, who claimed this year's Romanian Language Bacalaureat to contain a scientific mistake.
"Ministry of Education, Culture and Research will carefully examine the quality of this year's bacalaureat and will take the necessary measures to ensure correct and objective evaluation of candidates who have taken the examination.
In this context we mention that point 84 of the Regulation on the national bacalaureat examination, approved by the MECC Order no. 47 from 23.01.2018, foresees both the procedure, as well as the criteria to select coordinators and members of work groups who elaborate the test. Therefore, the selected people are specialists in the field, with a rich experience as authors of national examinations and Olympiads, as well as owners of scientific titles.
At the same time, we consider it counterproductive to analyze the quality of the tests before them being made public. Reconstructing the exam from memories are forbidden, while the test itself will be published on the website of the National agency for Curriculum and Examination on June 27, 2018, along with preliminary results being put up in Bacalaureat centers" mentions the press release of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
According to the institution's representatives, there is a code of ethics for teachers and public accusations addressed to teachers by other teachers are a violation of this Code.
