Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations training course attended by Armed Forces
General Inspection Directorate, between 12-15 June 2018, unfolds a training course Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations, attended by soldiers of Defense Ministry, General Staff and the Armed Forces.
According to head of General Inspection Directorate, colonel Victor Pîrţînă, during this period of time the 30 soldiers will study basic notions about personal and professional integrity and NATO's anti-corruption efforts in current peacekeeping operations.
The source mentioned that the training is based on practical aspects, scenarios aiming to use the gained knowledge and is unfolded by a team of experts from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina's Peacekeeping Operation Training Center.
Colonel Pîrţînă mentioned that the activity aims to train to identify and prevent possible corruption acts that might have negative impacts upon international peacekeeping missions.
The course Building Integrity in Peace Support Operations is part of the actions taken by NATO aiming to facilitate understanding of corruption risks, their impact upon Defense institutions, as well as identify practical actions to strengthen the integrity, increase transparency and improve responsibility in the defense sector.
The event is part of the NATO's Security Integration Program in the Defense and Security Sector and is held for the second time in Chisinau with the support of the NATO International Secretariat.
