Soldiers were trained to safely transport ammunition
National Army Weapons and Ammunition Center has unfolded between 4-14 June, 2018, an ammunition transportation training.
According to head of Weapons and Ammunition Center, Grigore Raţă, the activity, organized with the support of OSCE Mission to Moldova, aimed to familiarizing participants with the practices, policies and procedures on organization and transportation of dangerous goods, including ammunition.
The source mentioned that participants have studied the best national and international practices in the field, being instructed by soldiers of the National Army, assisted by a group of experts from Germany and Switzerland.
The 12 graduate have received today diplomas, within a ceremony, unfolded at the Defense Ministry, being attended by general secretary of state Radu Burduja, representatives of OSCE Mission to Moldova, Embassy of Germany and Armed Forces of Switzerland.
Radu Burduja declared that for Defense Ministry safety and security during the transportation of dangerous goods is important, especially of ammunition, while those conditions can only be achieved by specialists in the field, trained in accordance with the terms of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road.
Here, Radu Burduja, thanked OSCE Mission to Moldova and partner states- Germany and Switzerland, for the offered support and the implementation of the Comprehensive Program on Small Arms and Light Weapons, signed on 28 October 2010.
