The Government approved to change the law and sentence people determined to commit suicide to 12 years of imprisonment.

At the moment, such crime is punished by law with a sentence to 6 years. Another change is punishment for cruelty to animals. According to the project, people committing such acts will receive a fine to 68 000 lei or spend to 3 years in jail.

At the same time, those who transmit forbidden objects and substances to inmates will be sanctioned. The project foresees a fine to 50 000 lei or a 7 years sentence.

The project will following be examined in the Parliament.
