Smaller electricity bills starting July 1. What are the new established prices
Almost 1 300 000 consumers will pay by 10% less for their electricity bills starting 1st July. National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has decided to lessen the prices
"In Northern Moldova around 480 000 final consumers will benefit from this 10% decrease. At the same time over 800 000 final consumers served by Red Union Fenosa will also start paying less" ANRE director general, Tudor Copaci said.
If at the moment, household consumers are paying Gas Natural Fenosa 1 leu and 99 bani per kilowatt-hour, starting next month the fee will be by 20 bani less. Also from 1st July, people living in Northern Moldova will also pay less.
At the request of FEE-NORD, the cost of a kilowatt-hour decreased from 2 lei and 12 bani to 1 leu and 91 bani.
"Our priority is the final consumer. People must pay fair and justified bills. Taking into consideration that during summer more electricity is consumed, due to air conditioning, this decrease will be greatly felt in the electricity bill" ANRE director general, Tudor Copaci said.
The main reasons behind the decreased prices stood the strengthening of the national currency rate and a new calculation method. This decrease allowed water and sewage bills to remain the same in Chisinau.
