The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection has signed a Cooperation Agreement with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, regarding the development of a continuous and efficient partnership for the elaboration and implementation of the policies on the labor market.

The agreement will contribute to the development of the labor market by supporting technical vocational education and continuous training according to the labor market requirements, to establish a labor market analysis and information mechanism and develop the Labor Market Observatory.

"The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a strategic partner representing the private environment and must be involved in public policy decision-making. I am sure that the collaboration of both institutions will help promote labor market policies in line with the requirements of economic agents and job seekers, "said Svetlana Cebotari.

The document provides for the joint organization of the information and consultation activities of the economic agents on the state policy in the field of employment, development and enhancement of the functioning of the Sectoral Committees for Vocational Training in the Republic of Moldova, establishment of the social partnerships at the level of the branches of the economy in the field of vocational training.

"We want a well-trained and competitive workforce in our country that meets the requirements of the employers, in this sense, you have all our support for achieving this goal," said Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Serghei Harea.

The agreement was signed for an indefinite period. At the moment, 16,742 people are registered as unemployed, and 7933 people have been employed since the beginning of the year.

We note that the National Action Plan for 2018 for the implementation of the National Employment Strategy for the years 2017-2021 is under implementation at this stage, through a series of actions that will contribute to job creation, strengthening the link between the labor market and the vocational training system, facilitating the reintegration of returnees from abroad, ensuring the access of foreigners to the labor market, and improving the labor market governance by improving the legal framework and implementing the new measures to stimulate employment.
