Liberal lodges complaint to Germany against Viorel Țopa and Andrei Nastase
Liberal party made a complaint to German General Prosecutor's Office against fugitive oligarchs Victor and Viorel Țopa, DA leader Andrei Nastase.
They are accused of defrauding Air Moldova with seven million euros since 2000, causing loss of €100m to state budget.
Liberal President Dorin Chirtoaca announced this on his Facebook. Last month he said Victor Țopa who was Transport Minister in 2000 and his godchild Andrei Nastase had lied to Vladimir Voronin, then president, to sell Air Moldova to German investors, actually to Țopa.
The two were debunked and Air Moldova was nationalized.
Subsequently, the European Court of Human Rights dictated a compensation of 7.5 million euros to Victor Topa.
Nastase commented that the information provided by Chirtoaca is truncated.
