Police pay tribute to fallen ones in Nistru war:It is duty of ours and next generations to honor history
Republic of Moldova today marks 27 years since Nistru war on March 2.
The memorial day began with the deposition of flowers on the commemorative plaque from the headquarters of the Chisinau Police Directorate, installed in the memory of the cops who died on duty on the battlefield.
"We pay tribute to the former comrades, Vasile Beregoi, Mihail Gurduială, Octavian Cerempei, Sergiu Russu, Feodor Brădescu, Vitalie Pavaluc, Anatolii Tataru, Vladimir Cimpoieş, Eugen Ungureanu, Feodosie Stratan, Iurie Buftic, Ion Digori, Mihail Eni, Vladimir Butnaru, Dumitru Roşca, Alexandru Donica, Mihail Boţ, Maria Danuţa, who fought for the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, which fell on the battlefield in that cruel war, for national ideals, justice and freedom, defending the ancestral hearth, the family, the love for national and moral ideals of humanity, "the police write in a press release.
"It is our duty and the next generations to honor the history, to be grateful and to remain devoted to the ideals for which the heroes have fallen into battle," the communiqué said.
On this occasion, the leadership of the Chisinau Police Department, police, but also participants in the war for the defense of the independence and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova, participated in commemorative actions.
Policemen from the Police Department paid tribute to our comrades who fell on the battlefield and went to 18 localities: Braniște- Râșcani; Chiștelnița-Telenești; Bobeica-Hâncești; Burlanești-Edineț; Vadul Rașcov-Șoldănești; Băcioi-Ialoveni; Risipeni-Fălești; Răciula-Călărași; Batâr-Cimișlia; Buciumeni-Ungheni; Lăpușna-Hâncești; Bușeuca-Rezina; Hârtopul Mic- Criuleni; Clișova Nouă-Orhei; Ciutulești-Florești și Tigheci-Leova.
