The new Parliament could be the 10th parliament of the Republic of Moldova instead of 21th. The request to change the numerology of the parliament comes from the Democrat Sergiu Sîrbu.

Sergiu Sîrbu considers that the parliament should be listed from the country's independence, but not from the Soviet period.

"I want to say that the PDM team wants to correct a historic mistake regarding this new parliament and we hope it will be validated. Our opinion is a wrong approach, we don't know how this Parliament numbering has been so far. I hope the future parliament will not be listed 21th but 10th. It was numbered from the Soviet period to the present, but we want it is numbered from the independence. I think it would be symbolic", said Sergiu Sîrbu.
