The increase in gas price will not happen, as speculated recently in the press, informs National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE). 

ANRE representative said there is no request from the SA Moldovagaz operator to submit any evidence for a possible price change.

According to a communiqué issued by ANRE, for an adjustment of the tariffs, SA Moldovagaz must be presented with necessary calculations, with plausible arguments in this respect.

Also, according to Act 108 on Natural Gas, "the Board of Directors of the Agency is required to examine applications for basic costs, regulated prices and tariffs within no more than 180 calendar days from the date of filing the request."
