A bomb alert at Balti Prosecutor General's Office has been proved false. A man had called 112 and announced to detonate a bomb. He was later identified by police to be a alcoholic man living in Sângerei.
He called at around 14:30 and refused to reveal his name. He neither revealed where he placed the bomb. The police meanwhile were investigating the whole building.
This is not the first time a bomb alert ends up a joke.
He risk a fine of up to 10,000 lei or up to two years in prison.
Another man also alerted the police in February about a bomb at a Balti bus station. It was a false as well.
