PM Pavel Filip talked with Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations for Enlargement Johannes Hahn
Prime Minister Pavel Filip met today in Brussels with Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Negotiations for Enlargement.
The main topics of discussion were the post-electoral situation in the country, as well as the current state of relations between the Republic of Moldova and the European Union, including political dialogue and development cooperation.
The officials exchanged views on the reforms promoted by the authorities of the Republic of Moldova and the level of implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU.
During the meeting, both achievements and areas where further efforts are needed have been reviewed.
Prime Minister Pavel Filip reiterated that modernizing the country and implementing the Association Agenda are the strategic projections for our country.
At the same time, the prime minister expressed the hope that the next Government will remain plenary in the process.
Under the current conditions, EU expertise and support are key ingredients for succeeding in transforming the Republic of Moldova and bringing it closer to the EU. In this context, the prime minister advocated strengthening the political dialogue, intensifying cooperation at expert level, and resuming financial assistance.
