Moldova IT Park turns 1 year old. PM Filip: This ambitious project is a chance to develop our economy
Prime Minister Pavel Filip participated on Friday at the presentation of the Moldova IT Park activity report, one year after its launch.
According to PM Filip, this project is his ambition that he has worked hard on since he was Minister of Information Technology and Communication.
"Nobody believed in this idea from the beginning. It was a small group of enthusiasts. I want to thank everybody who placed their trust in this project", said Filip.
He also highlighted the importance of this project in IT industry. This is a chance to develop our economy.
"There are 339 residents in this IT Park. On average, they earn 28,000 lei and salary increases twice per year. Income has amounted to 2 billion lei", said Filip.
Moreover, the 7% single tax for IT park residents benefits both companies and the state, the official said.
On the occasion of the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, several companies and ICT employees received the Government Diploma of Honor.
