Republic of Moldova and Latvia boost bilateral relations on waste management and IT sector
Prime Minister Pavel Filip and Latvian Ambassador to Moldova Uldis Mikuts today discussed the current level of bilateral relations and the possibilities for their development.
The interlocutors noted the dynamic political dialogue between countries, while mentioning that there are trade-economic cooperation reserves. In this regard, it was mentioned the opportunity to convene the Moldovan-Latvian intergovernmental commission for commercial-economic, industrial and technical-scientific cooperation until the end of this year.
Among the areas of mutual interest were listed: investment activity, waste management and the IT sector.
The prime minister appreciated Latvia's support for the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing that our country needs European friends who know our realities. In turn, Ambassador Uldis Mikuts said that Latvia remains a friend of our country and will continue to support the European course of the Republic of Moldova, sharing the experience gained in various fields.
