Ilan Sor never presented at court hearing in Cahul Appeal Court. The meeting was put off until July 25 due to absence of a judge (because of illness). 

 

The prosecutor is to request an arrest warrant on deputy Ilan Sor for he left illegally Moldova. Prosecutor Andrei Baeşu confirmed this information for Publika TV. 

 

Anti-corruption prosecution issued on Tuesday a press release saying that the deputy left the country without crossing any customs and border controls. 

 

Then, a trial was started for his illegal leaving during June 14-17. 

 

Ilan Sor was convicted in June 2016 seven years and six months of jail for money washing and scam which also targeted the theft in Economy Bank, Social Bank and Unibank. 

 

The dossier was transferred last year to Cahul Appeal Court.
