Moldova officially enters the electoral period today. The Central Electoral Commission starts the campaign to inform the citizens and the training of the electoral officials.

The new mayors, district councilors and local councilors will be elected on October 20th. At the same time, repeated parliamentary elections will be organized in four constituencies after four deputies on uninominal lists Vlad Plahotniuc and Viorel Melnic, quit their mandates, Andrei Nastase and Maia Sandu, were elected to the Government. 

The election campaign will start officially one month before the election.
