An over 7 million MDL worth goods seizure was applied on the former Head of Imaging and Computed Tomography of CDRM.
He was irrevocably sentenced and through it's final decision, the Court ordered the seizure in amount of 1 482 000 MDL. Also, the Court applied a 270 000 MDL fine, collection of 1 080 000 MDL compensation on behalf of CDRM and managerial position deprivation on a 12 years term.
To ensure the compensations, the Agency for Stolen Goods Recovery of CNA (ARBI) applied seizures worth of 7 217 000 MDL which included cars, real estates, bank accounts and cash. These actions happened within two criminal invests started by CNA and Anti-corruption prosecutors on misuse of service and unjustified enrichment.
We remind that the former Head of Imaging and Computed Tomography of CDRM was arrested on July 30 2018 in the Tomograf-1 folder after some searches. According to the information, during the January 2017 - July 2018, the former head was sistematically receiving from patients, including those medically ensured, amounts of money from 950 to 5 400 MDL for tomography investigations. The money were not paid in the Hospital's cashier.
During the searches were also found metallic boxes, rented by the convicted from commercial banks, Euros, MDL and USD in a total sum of 6 568 982 MDL.
