The Socialist Ion Ceban was officially registered to run for Chisinau Mayor. Chisinau Electoral Council approved his candidacy on Saturday. 

Ruslan Codreanu, the former acting Mayor, also submitted application to collect people's signatures. 

Recently, at a press conference, Interior Minister Andrei Nastase acknowledged that he wants to run for Chisinau Mayor office. 

According to the legislation, candidates can submit the documents until September 19th.

Local elections will be held on October 20.
