Moldovan winemakers performed over Prut last weekend. It happened at the Moldovan Wine Festival organized in Snagov, Romania.
This year, the event gathered over ten thousand visitors, twice as many as last year. In addition to wines, guests also discovered the music and gastronomy specific to the Moldovan people. 32 winemakers from the Republic of Moldova participated at the festival. They offered visitors over two hundred types of wine, liquors and sparkling wine.
The liqueurs were highly appreciated over the Prut.
'Came more people than the last year, we have information that over 5 000 people have already arrived on the first day. The wines have been really sold. Romania being the second market for Moldovan wine, we think it is a strategic market and we enjoy the appreciation of the Romanian consumer and we do our best to gain their loyalty', said Irina Bîstriţchi, deputy director of the National Wine Office.
The people had a unique artistic program. Among the performers who went on stage included Irina Rimes, Dara, The Motans, Mihail, Alex Calancea and Lupii. The Moldovan Wine Festival is on it's second edition. The event was organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine.
