Serghei Scripnic, the candidate for Chisinau Mayor from Party "Patriots of Moldova" (Partidul „Patrioţii Moldovei”) was excluded from the electoral competition. 

The candidates from this party for council were also excluded, Ina Babin, the Vice President of Chisinau Electoral Council confirms. 

According to Ina Babin, the party presented report regarding the designation of candidates on August 15 before being constituted by Electoral Council. In accordance with regulation, they could have registered report after August 30. 

When asked for comment on this event, Serghei Scripnic denied committing any violation. The evidence is the candidacy was registered in Comrat so the party presented the report on August 15. 

"I don't know how to explain this decision of Council. We didn't violate any regulation. We will challenge this decision".
