The chief of the Forensic Medicine Center has been arrested following the raids by the Anti-corruption National Center. 

Ten medics at the Forensic Medicine Center in Chisinau were detained yesterday, suspected of organizing a scheme to extort money through legal expertise services. 

According to the investigation, they would have cashed over 327,000 lei during July - September, 2019. Two criminal files were started in this case. 

If found guilty, they risk up to 15 years in prison, fine of up to 500,000 lei, the deprivation of holding the positions up to 15 years.
