Coronavirus-infected patients have been also treated at the Ungheni District Hospital since April 1. The institution has only two mechanical ventilators for patients in very serious condition.

"They are old, from the last century. Obviously we want something new and better. We have not had serious cases until now but we need them if the patient's condition worsens", director of the Ungheni District Hospital, Andrei Alexeev, said. 

According to him, there exist problems with the provision of antiviral drugs.

"They are enough for no more than 10 days", he added. 

Vadim Rusu, the head of the emergency department at the Ungheni District Hospital, told Publika that he missed his family so much. 

"I'm lucky that my wife is also a doctor so we can meet each other in the hospital but I haven't seen the children for a week", Vadim Rusu said.
