Veaceslav Platon's lawyer reacts on bribery allegations
Veaceslav Platon's lawyers reject the accusations that Veaceaslav Platon bribed the judges to release him from prison, Ion Creţu, one of the Platon's lawyers, told Publika TV.
"These accusations are made intentionally before the court hearings, and the information is meant to influence the decision of the SCJ judges," said Cretu.
Also today, the judge of the Supreme Court of Justice, Liliana Catan, vehemently denied all the accusations that she was involved by any means in the release of Veaceslav Platon from prison.
"Being active in the judiciary for 24 years, I have never heard such stupid, sick and paranoid nonsense against me," Catan told Publika TV.
Publika recalls that Veaceslav Platon could escape from prison. According to deschide.md, he allegedly paid colossal sums to the magistrates from the Supreme Court of Justice (SCJ) and the Court of Appeal who examined his case so they could accepted his requests for retrial of the case in which he is accused of stealing hundreds of millions lei from the accounts of Moldasig and Alliance Insurance Group.
