Moldova will receive 12,200 Avigan pills from Japan to treat coronavirus patients
Moldova will receive antiviral medicine from the Government of Japan to treat coronavirus-infected patients. The Committee on Foreign Policy and European Integration approved yesterday the Advisory Opinion on the opening of negotiations and the approval of the signing of the Agreement between the Moldovan Government and the UN Office for Project Services on the delivery of Avigan as an emergency aid to fight COVID-19 provided by the Government of Japan.
According to the agreement, Moldova will receive a batch of 12,200 Avigan pills (favipiravir).
"This Agreement reaffirms the will of States to continue to contribute to combating the worldwide spread of SARS–CoV–2 coronavirus and the pandemic of COVID – 19 infection, as well as to assist the Republic of Moldova in its efforts to provide healthcare workers with enhanced protection in the activity of providing medical services necessary for the treatment and control of COVID-19 ",mentioned in the informative note.
