Moldova will resume activities of HoReCa business and international passenger transports?
Authorities consider proposing more relaxation measures from 1 June, President Igor Dodon announced after the meeting at the State Residence. According to him, the statistics on COVID-19 are optimistic. The National Extraordinary Public Health Commission will make the final decision this evening.
"Starting with June 1, the restrictions will be removed on the activity of the markets in Chisinau, Balti, shopping centers, businesses in HoReCa sector. The international passenger transports may resume and the activity of gyms will be allowed to restart", Igor Dodon said.
The head of state also says that schools and kindergartens could remain closed. Likewise, the ban on organizing meetings with more than 50 participants could remain in force.
The Central Market in Chisinau and the market in Bălți were closed in March. Moldova also suspended the activity of restaurants, cafes and other businesses in the field of HoReCa.
Representatives of these sectors have been rallying recently, demanding the authorities to ease coronavirus restrictions.
