On Wednesday, 42 health workers tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the highest figure ever. The data were made public by the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Health, Constantin Rîmiş, who specified that the newly diagnosed persons work in 30 medical institutions throughout Moldova.

25 patients are nurses, another 11 are auxiliary staff and the other 6 patients are doctors.

According to official data, 2239 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed among medical staff so far. However, the top is led by nurses and doctors, with a number of 888 and 568, respectively.
