What measures to be imposed after expiration of public health emergency?
Moldovan Government will decide what measures to be imposed in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic from the beginning of August, after the expiration of the public health emergency. The announcement was made recently by Ion Chicu, after the weekly meeting between the head of state, the president of the Parliament and the prime minister.
"On Friday, we will convene a meeting of the Extraordinary Public Health Commission to discuss the actions after August 1, when the state of emergency will end," Chicu said.
Moreover, Mayor Chicu said that it will be decided whether the Moldovans who return home will have to live in self-isolation.
"We will discuss more proposals regarding the restriction regime, we may introduce an optional regime for our citizens returning from abroad, regarding those 14 days of self-isolation," the prime minister added.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the state of emergency in health was extended until July 31, as a result of the decision of the Extraordinary Public Health Commission. Earlier, Prime Minister Ion Chicu announced that kindergartens, theaters, movie theaters, nightclubs, amusement parks and other recreational areas where congestion cannot be prevented remain closed during this period.
