Three ANSP labs equipped with consumables to expand COVID-19 diagnostic testing
Three laboratories of the National Agency for Public Health in Balti, Chisinau and Cahul were equipped with consumables to continue and expand the COVID-19 diagnostic testing. The donation was made from the sources of the project "Reducing the Burden of Noncommunicable Diseases", funded by the Swiss Cooperation Office and carried out by the Swiss Institute of Tropical and Public Health.
According to the representatives of the Ministry of Health, Switzerland offered Moldova 6 mini centrifuges for 24 tubes and 2 for processing the polymerization chain reaction, 6 vortices for agitation of samples in the process of isolation of RNA nucleic acids, 20 refrigerated bags to ensure the conditions of transport of samples for analysis...
The acquisition for the fortification of ANSP workers was in the amount of 840,000 lei and was donated in batches during August 2020.
According to ANSP specialists, the auxiliary equipment, the donated consumables will double the number of samples up to 800 samples daily in the central laboratory in Chisinau and 300 samples daily in each of the laboratories in Bălți and Cahul.
