8 years since ZEL Bălți foundation: There is nothing more important than giving companies opportunity to increase their investment - Premier Filip
Prime Minister Pavel Filip visited today the new factories in the Free Economic Zone (ZEL) in Bălţi, founded eight years ago.
During this period, the value of investments in ZEL Bălţi increased from 6.7 to 161.8 million dollars.
Over 6200 jobs have been created, with an average salary of about 11600 lei.
The prime minister discussed with employees about the working conditions, the level of remuneration and the social benefits provided by the employers.
Pavel Filip noted that the majority of the employees are young, emphasizing at the same time that the internship at the factories offers them a number of advantages and perspectives.
During talks with the business administration, the prime minister said the government remains a reliable partner in business development, attracting investment and creating new jobs.
"There is nothing more important than giving companies the opportunity to increase their investments," the prime minister said.
Also today, the prime minister visited the construction site of an industrial area of 4475 square meters, which represents a domestic investment worth 5 million euros. The construction is due to be completed in August.
ZEL Bălţi manages 11 sub-zones, located in the three regions of Moldova.
Fiscal and customs facilities are among advantages of companies within ZEL Bălţi.
