A group of deputies registered draft Declaration to condemn Russian attacks against Moldova
A group of deputies today registered a draft Declaration in the Moldovan Parliament condemning Russian attacks on national information security and their abusive interference in Moldova's political activity.
According to the project, "the denigrating statements to our country and our citizens, the blockages imposed on Moldovan exporters, the political harassment against Moldovan officials including representatives of Moldovan Parliament and Government are the implicit involvement of Moscow and even some Russian institutions in Moldova's political activity and indicates a provocative and unfriendly attitude towards our country. "
In this context, concern is expressed about Russian involvement in Moldova's political activities, by the patronage of left-wing parties and the undemocratic influence of the Moldovans' votes.
The authors point out "groundlessness of decision taken by the Russian State Duma to limit the access of Moldovans to the programs of Russian televisions, meaning that the main purpose of rebroadcast of these programs in Moldova was not to offer Moldovans high qualitative programs but deingrate the citizens and our country. This decision confirms once again, with additional official evidence, the validity of the decision of the Moldovan Parliament to take measures for information security. In addition, it identifies the Russian political interference in the content of Russian programs broadcast in Moldova.
In addition, the document appeals to senior political decision-makers to intervene to halt all these abuses and denigration campaigns in Moldova, stopping any form of support for political parties in our country, noting that their financing from external sources is illegal, as well as their support in other ways.
The authors also opt for a constructive dialogue leading to the elimination of the bottlenecks and the resumption of activities related to strengthening and developing the strategic partnership between the Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation.
The initiative to adopt the declaration belongs to a group of deputies from Democratic Party of Moldova, the European People's Parliamentary Group and non-attached Members. The document is to be put to the vote in one of the first plenary sessions of the legislature in the spring session.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the Moscow State Duma considers that the anti-propaganda law in Moldova represents a new attack on Russia and violates the international rules on access to information.
