The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection announced the death of a 71-year-old Turkish citizen with a residence permit in Chisinau. He tested positive for COVID-19. 

The patient was hospitalized in serious condition at the Republican Clinical Hospital on April 25. 

Comorbidities: hypothyroidism, hypertensive heart disease, reactive pancreatitis.

The Turkish Embassy in the Republic of Moldova will carry out all repatriation procedures.
