African swine fever reached Moldova. The first case of infection with this virus was discovered in a household in Donduseni district.

Four of six pigs died after contracting the disease. 

National Agency of Food Safety does not exclude the fact that the virus might have reached Moldova from Ukraine, where is an outbreak.
