Agenda of Moldovan-Ukrainian relations, discussed by Prime-Minister Pavel Filip with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Groysman
During a working visit to Kiev, Prime Minister Pavel Filip had a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Groysman.
The prime ministers discussed the current topics on the agenda of the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations, highlighting the openness for the continuous intensification of the bilateral dialogue on all areas of mutual interest.
The two heads of government stressed the importance of a constructive interaction at the state border, including the organization of joint control at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border crossing points. In this context, the availability of both states for the signing of joint control protocols at 8 border crossing points as soon as possible.
Pavel Filip and Volodymyr Groysman also agreed on finalizing the implementation of the Protocol, which is about to overcome the 90-day deadline for the carriage of passengers and freight in the two countries. Concerning the joint infrastructure projects, the importance of opening the cars on the bridge over the Nistru river near the towns of Unguri and Bronita was noted. The construction of the new bridge over the Nistru Iampol - Cosauti River was also discussed.
Heads of the Chişinău and Kiev Chiefs also exchanged views on ensuring ecosystem protection and sustainable development of the Dniester River Basin. The Prime Ministers arranged for the meeting of working groups to be organized in the near future on the issues related to the operation of the Nistrean Hydropower Complex.
