Agreement between Customs Service and Chamber of Commerce for international trade facilitation
Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Customs Service are proposing to develop the partnership established to support entrepreneurs pursuing international trade operations. The priority areas of interaction between the two institutions were set forth in an Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation Agreement signed by the chairman of CCI, Sergiu Harea and Director General of the Customs Service, Vitalie Vrabie.
The document aims to establish a sustainable framework for cooperation between the parties in order to contribute to the facilitation and security of international trade, joint efforts for the development of dialogue between customs authorities and contractors and promote best practice on public-private partnership under the terms of legislation of the Republic Moldova.
"The signing of the Partnership Agreement between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova and the Customs Service represents, in my view, a significant event that will create trade facilitation by removing all barriers, and effective collaboration in implementing best practices in the international public-private dialogue. I want to mention that efforts will be made so that the services offered by CCI and Customs operators to be close to economical agents" , said CCI President, Sergiu Harea.
In turn, Director General of Customs said that this document supports the efforts of the Customs Service to facilitate international trade and improve the investment climate, commitments stemming from the Association Agreement with the EU, especially in terms of DCFTA.
"It is important that all relevant institutions to strengthen the mechanisms of interaction so that we can record significant results to be felt by all representatives of the business" , said Vitalie Vrabie.
Therefore, the authorities will conduct exchanges of information on reference fields and will hold training sessions for experts of both sides on issues of common interest.
