#ALEGEPUBLIKA. What do candidates for Chisinau City Hall wish with their votes?
Ion Ceban, the PSRM candidate for Chisinau City Hall exercised his right to vote.
"I voted for a better future, for modern, developed and clean city and suburbs, for a City Hall that would be professionally managed, unlike before. I want all children to have conditions in kindergartens and schools, young people to study in universities in the capital, adults to have well paid jobs, and the elderly to have a decent life. I voted for well built roads, for better pavements, well arranged parking lots", said Ion Ceban.
Ion Ceban's wife, Tatiana, mentioned she voted "for a safer, more developed city in which children could feel at home."
While the candidate of the bloc ACUM, DA and PAS, Andrei Năstase, stated that he voted with the certainty that this time no one would dare nor manage to steal the vote, as they did last year.
"I voted for the principles and values in which we, the people of Chisinau and the suburbs, believe: in everyone’s right to a better life, well-being, social equity, in a society free of lies, division, propaganda, betrayal, compromise, opportunism. It is essential for people to go to the polls, to choose as their reason dictates and through this vote to stop the attempts by the real estate mafia to stay in power in Chisinau", said Andrei Nastase.
The second round of local elections takes place on Sunday, November 3, in the 384 localities of Moldova, where no candidate for mayor has obtained more than half of the valid votes.
