Alexandra Raluca Pruna:Without an independent justice the state cannot be modernized
Reforms in the justice and fight against corruption are discussed for two days in a Moldovan-Romanian forum. At the event organized in Chisinau will participate Justice Minister Vladimir Cebotari and his Romanian counterpart Raluca-Alexandra Pruna.
"We hope that what is happening today is the first edition, we intend to have yearly such meetings. modernized. You have the entire judicial management from Romania. This shows a determination to promote an agenda of field promotion. We can be very good partners in this European integration that we have begun," said Minister of Justice of Romania, Raluca Alexandra Pruna.
In turn, Justice Minister Vladimir Cebotari said that the model the judiciary reforms in Romania are carried out is an example for our country.
"Today we will have more such discussions. For us, the model of how are done legal reforms in Romania is our guide. We will take the example of best practices," said Justice Minister Vladimir Cebotari.
During the event, officials will discuss the optimization of courts, improvement of program for random distribution of cases and prison reform.
About preventing and combating corruption will talk the chief prosecutor of the National Anti-corruption Department Laura Codruta Kovesi. Representatives of the Ministry of Justice are aiming for the forum to become the main communication platform in the field.
At the forum are participating the Parliament speaker Andrian Candu and Romanian ambassador in Chisinau, Daniel Ionita.
According to the organizers, the aim of the meeting is to support Moldova's European integration in order to continue the initiated reforms.
