An 18-year-old man, in pre-trial detention in the 13th penitentiary in the Capital, was found breathless in the walking yard by a guard. The young man would have committed suicide.

Police and prosecutors intervened on the spot. The young man left no farewell note.

The National Administration of Penitentiaries has initiated an internal investigation.

According to the institution's spokesman, Oleg Pantea, the young man arrived behind bars for theft and robbery.
