An Iraq man, searched by INTERPOL, attempted to enter Moldova with false document
Border police have registered two cases of use of forged documents and an attempt to cross the border. The incidents were recorded at the Cahul crossing points and Chisinau International Airport.
On the way out of the country, a car Mercedes Vito with driver being Turkish citizen with a residence visa in the Republic of Moldova was presented.
He was then subjected to thorough checks. As a result, suspicions arose about the Turkish driver's license, identifying several distinctive elements of the act with signs of forgery. At the tests, the citizen declared that he was not aware, given that he had perfected the permit according to the legal procedures.
The last illegality was recorded at the Chisinau International Airport crossing point, where a citizen of the Republic of Iraq tried to enter the Republic of Moldova, presenting a forged document, but also searched by INTERPOL. The 29-year-old man appeared on the Bern-Chisinau route. During the verification of the passport, which would have been issued by the Iraqi authorities, suspicions arose about its authenticity, namely on the personal data page, where the signs of forgery were visible. At the same time, as a result of the INTERPOL database checks, it was found that the document in question was announced as a stolen document. Under these conditions, the Iraqi citizen was forbidden to cross the state border, and depending on the result of the expertise of the Border Police staff, the case investigations will continue.
