President of Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu declared that Republic of Moldova must have a fund for road safety, or a specialized agency on road security and measures must be taken to ensure that the traffic law is respected.

"On the platform created on the internet regarding road safety, and as ambassador of road safety this year, along with the team we have already elaborated a project that foresees fines being raised, as well as sanctions diversified. We do not only speak of drivers, but also of the infrastructure, which must be extended and of the laws that drivers, pedestrian and children must respect. This is a complex matter that is not only tied to laws, but also to the future.

Much was spoken of traffic safety, of a specialized agency, of introducing more sanctions, for example we consider that 6 months as penalties should be increased to 12 months. Certain elements must be introduced, meant to ensure that the traffic law is respected. We do not speak here only of fines.

Unfortunately, such accidents happen and claim the lives of people" Andrian Candu said.
