Today marks the 168th anniversary of our most famous and influential poet Mihai Eminescu.

Moldova also celebrates the National Culture Day and multiple events will be held in Ștefan cel Mare Central Park from Chisinau.

President of Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu, has posted on social network a video, where he can be seen with his son, who recites a poem written by Mihai Eminescu.

"Today marks the 168th anniversary of our most famous and influential poet Mihai Eminescu, who cultivated and modernized Romanian language. 

As true inheritors of this beautiful language, we must speak it fluently, honor and cultivate it, as our language is what defines us. Each one of us must ensure that future generations will preserve the heritage left behind by Mihai Eminescu", Andrian Candu posted.
