ANRE approves gas tariff discount to 20%. How much it costs
The gas tariff has been reduced 20 per cent, announces the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
The new prices will be applied retroactively from 1 January 2018 and the responsible authorities will shortly propose a way to compensate for the price difference already paid by consumers.
According to the ANRE decision, in the case of household consumption of less than 30 cubic meters, a tariff of 4.70 lei per cubic meter will be applied, 20 percent less than today.
Those who spend more than 30 cubic meters of gas will pay 4.89 lei instead of 6.13 lei.
The tariff will decrease by nearly 20 percent for both power plants and heating plants. After reviewing the prices, those who have these facilities will pay 4 lei instead 5 lei for one cubic meter of gas.
"Household consumers with a monthly consumption of up to 30 cubic meters will pay 4005 lei per 1000 cubic meters or 1087 lei less than the previous price, a decrease by 20.1%. Household consumers with a monthly consumption of 30 cubic meters will pay 4895 lei per 1000 cubic meters or 1043 lei less than the previous price, a 20.3% decrease. The tariffs for district heating plants and thermal power plants will be 4018 lei per 1000 meters cubic or 983 lei less than the previous price, a decrease of 19.7%.
We mention that the causes that led to the decrease of natural gas were the average annual purchase price of natural gas projected for 2018 and the change in the exchange rate of the national currency.
Referring to MoldovaGaz's proposals, virtually 461 million lei were not accepted in the total tariff for consumers.
36 million of the operational revenue of the transport system was not accepted.
There were not accepted 136 million lei from the income of the operators of the distribution system.
10 million lei were not accepted from the suppliers' fees at regulated tariffs, "said Tudor Copaci, ANRE general manager.
