ANSA: We have from where to take qualitative products for children's meals
"We have from where to take qualitative products for children's meals" said Director of National Food Safety Agency (ANSA), Gheorghe Gaberi, in a press conference where they presented the results of inspections triggered by the institution after the scandal with rigging tenders for delivering food in schools and kindergartens, informs IPN, quoted by Deschide.
Gheorghe Gaberi said that Moldova has qualitative products, as confirmed by partners of states where the Moldovan products are delivered.
ANSA recommendation is for food products for educational institutions to be delivered by producers operating in the locality where the institution is or nearby, avoiding intermediaries.
Roman Vengher, head of the municipal food safety department, said that during the checks were discovered deposits needing repairs, including replacement of ventilation or sanitation system in some of them.
ANSA aims to verify all units of public alimenting financed from the budget - aside from schools and kindergartens, carabineer troops, prisons and hospitals etc.
An action plan is to be drafted so that in the future in these units will be delivered only qualitative products.
A few weeks ago, were unearthed frauds in auctioning the delivery of food in schools and kindergartens in the capital.
As a result, children were receiving altered or inconsistent food. Several municipal officials were relieved of their duties.
