The National Anti-Corruption Center, being a law institution in the Republic of Moldova, being a specialized body for preventing and combating corruption, acting on the principles of legality and impartiality, starting from the obligation to act in strict compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova, makes the following statement :

CNA is an apolitical organ, does not provide assistance and does not support any political party. Today, public institutions in the Republic of Moldova are in an unprecedented situation, when they are called upon by certain political forces not to comply with the decisions of the supreme court - the Constitutional Court.

In our work, we apply unconditionally all decisions of the Constitutional Court, even if some of them, in certain situations, made it impossible to hold people accountable. In the current crisis, we draw attention to the fact that no one can assume the right to arbitrarily decide which of the Constitutional Court rulings to observe and which they do not. The confusion of the unconditional application of the Court's judgments is a dangerous precedent.

Therefore, we urge all civil servants to work strictly in accordance with the law, and not to be trained in political games and the struggle for power.
