Army technique worth 15 Million lei offered to Moldova by Chinese government
Chinese government offer National Army a set of technical equipment and material goods worth 15 million lei, at a ceremony held today at the Ministry of Defense.
The batch includes 9 minibuses with different transport capacity, 3 ambulances, 4 refrigerated vehicles, 10 electric generators, and spare parts for the technique.
Ambassador Zhang Yinghong said that China had provided logistical support to the National Army over the past 15 years, and this aid helped strengthen the defense system and create service conditions for Moldovan soldiers.
Deputy Defense Minister said this was a friendly gesture between our countries. It is a direct contribution to the endowment of the National Army which needs intense investment.
The Chinese side also cared all the costs of shipping the equipment by sea to Constanta port in Romania, and the Ministry of Defense covered the cost of transporting the materials to Chisinau.
In total, the National Army received logistical assistance from the Chinese government worth 30 million lei.
The Moldovan-Chinese military cooperation is carried out under the Agreement signed on 23 June 2002 Beijing between two countries's ministries.
